Sinnohian Sentret and Furret

Description

  • New Pokémon Species: Sentret from Sinnoh
  • Type: Dark/Ice.
  • Ability: Adaptability, Run Away, or Cheek Pouch (Hidden Ability)
  • Pokédex Info: After relocation to the cold forests outside of Snowpoint City, these Sentret evolved to have longer fur and an ability to hide among the ice and rocks of their new home. Sentret will make nests in the trees high above the forest floor, and will watch over each other diligently through the long, cold nights.
  • Evolution Line: Sentret (Sinnoh) evolves into Furret (Sinnoh) at level 15
  • Habitat: The forests outside of Snowpoint City and along Route 217
  • Why the change: Wild Jhotonian Sentret (found on Route 202 with the Poke Radar) were seen as an invasive species. Efforts to round them up were made, but national protection laws prevented the culling of the groups. As an alternative, local law enforcement relocated them to the cold forests outside of Snowpoint City to stay out of the way, thinking that they'd never survive and would just die off by nature out there. To everyone's surprise, however, the Sentret began to adapt to the cold by making nests in the trees and living off of the local leaves, nuts, and berries. Over the time of several generations, the Pokemon began to evolve into the icy forms that roam wild today.

  • Sign Attack: Ice Shield- The Pokemon curls up into a tight ball and covers itself in thick ice. Protects the user from incoming attacks, and may inflict freeze.

  • Pokédex Info: “Unlike their Johotian counterparts, Sinnohian Furret have become well adapted to living in the icy trees of their new home. With long, snow-resistant fur and sharp claws, they leap from tree to tree on the lookout for predators. If they happen to come across a human who has gotten lost in the forest, they will watch over them until they find their way back home. To avoid predators, these Furret will go out hunting in the middle of the night with glowing eyes which allow them to see through the blackest of nights. When on the ground, they stand on their tails to see over the deep snow."

I love this concept and I'd totally want to have a shiny one as a scarf, just like I want the normal one for the same purpose. xD 
I also really like the idea of them using snowballs to scare of predators, silly, but probably effective. x3
